Details
Summary
CVE-2024-20310 is a newly disclosed vulnerability that affects the web-based interface of Cisco Unified Communications Manager IM & Presence Service (Unified CM IM&P). An unauthenticated, remote attacker can exploit this vulnerability by conducting a cross-site scripting (XSS) attack against an authenticated user. This is due to the interface's failure to properly validate user-supplied input. A successful attack could allow the attacker to execute arbitrary script code in the context of the affected interface or gain access to sensitive browser-based information. Users are urged to update their Unified CM IM&P software to mitigate this risk.
