Summary
CVE-2024-13926 is a denial-of-service (DoS) vulnerability affecting the WP-Syntax WordPress plugin before version 1.3. An attacker can take advantage of improper input handling to create a post containing a large number of tags. This results in a catastrophic backtracking issue during regular expression processing, ultimately causing a DoS condition. WordPress users are advised to update the plugin to the latest version to mitigate this risk.
