Summary
CVE-2024-13849 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Cookie Notice Bar plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in all versions up to 1.3.0, stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. Authenticated attackers with administrator-level access can exploit this flaw to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages. The vulnerability poses a risk only to multi-site installations and installations where unfiltered_html has been disabled. Successful exploitation allows attackers to execute their scripts whenever a user accesses the affected page.
