Summary

CVE-2024-13769 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability affecting the Puzzles | WP Magazine / Review with Store WordPress Theme and its associated RTL theme. This issue, present in all versions up to 4.2.4, stems from a missing capability check on the 'theme_options_ajax_post_action' AJAX action. Consequently, authenticated attackers with Subscriber-level access and above can exploit this flaw to update the plugin's settings and inject malicious web scripts. Unfortunately, the developer has removed the software from the repository, leaving users without an official update. It is strongly advised to find and implement a secure alternative theme as soon as possible.
