Summary
CVE-2024-13732: This vulnerability affects the Responsive Blocks plugin for WordPress, which is used to create custom blocks for the Gutenberg editor. The issue lies in the lack of proper input sanitization and output escaping for the 'section_tag' parameter, allowing authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access and above to inject malicious web scripts. Consequentially, whenever a user accesses an injected page, the scripts will be executed. This Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability poses a significant risk to WordPress websites running affected versions of the Responsive Blocks plugin (up to and including 1.9.9). It is crucial for users to update the plugin to the latest version to mitigate this threat.
