Summary

CVE-2024-13701 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Liveticker plugin for WordPress, up to and including version 1.2.2. This issue allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages through the 'liveticker' shortcode. The vulnerability arises due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes, resulting in the execution of injected scripts whenever a user accesses an affected page.
