Summary
CVE-2024-13673 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Big Boom Directory plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in versions up to and including 2.5.0, stems from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes in the 'bbd-search' shortcode. As a result, authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher can inject malicious web scripts that will execute whenever a user accesses an affected page. This vulnerability poses a significant security risk and requires immediate attention and patching.
