Summary

CVE-2024-13661 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Table Editor plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in versions 1.5.1 and below, allows attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject malicious scripts into the plugin's 'wptableeditor_vtabs' shortcode. The vulnerability is due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes. As a result, any user who visits an infected page will have the injected scripts executed, potentially leading to unintended actions or data theft.
