Summary

CVE-2024-13658 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability affecting the NGG Smart Image Search plugin for WordPress. The issue, present in all versions up to 3.2.1, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts. This is due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes within the plugin's 'hr_SIS_nextgen_searchbox' shortcode. Successful exploitation enables the attacker's scripts to execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
