Summary

CVE-2024-13646 is a vulnerability affecting the Single-user-chat plugin for WordPress. This issue allows authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to manipulate data without proper validation. By exploiting the 'single_user_chat_update_login' function, they can update option values to 'login' on a WordPress site. This can lead to a denial of service, as certain options may cause errors, or be used to enable unwanted functionality, such as user registration. All versions of the plugin up to, and including, 0.5 are impacted.
