Summary
CVE-2024-13644 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability affecting the DethemeKit For Elementor plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in all versions up to 2.1.8, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject malicious scripts into the plugin's De Gallery widget. The lack of proper input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes enables the attacker to execute arbitrary web scripts whenever a user accesses an injected page. This vulnerability can lead to various malicious activities such as account takeover, data theft, or unauthorized access. It is crucial for users to update the plugin to the latest version, 2.1.9 or later, to mitigate this risk.
