CVE-2024-13581 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Simple Charts plugin for WordPress. This issue, which impacts all versions up to 1.0, stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes in the 'simple_chart' shortcode. Consequently, authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher can inject malicious web scripts, leading to the execution of arbitrary code whenever an injected page is accessed.
