Summary

CVE-2024-13572 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Precious Metals Charts and Widgets plugin for WordPress. This issue allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts into the plugin's 'nfusion-widget' shortcode. Impacted versions include those up to and including 1.2.8. The vulnerability stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes, enabling attackers to execute their malicious scripts whenever a user accesses an injected page.
