Summary

CVE-2024-13542 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the WP Google Street View plugin for WordPress, versions up to 1.1.3. This issue stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes in the plugin's 'wpgsv' shortcode. As a consequence, authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher can inject arbitrary web scripts into pages. Execution of these scripts occurs whenever a user accesses an infected page.
