Summary

CVE-2024-13525 is a new vulnerability affecting the Customer Email Verification plugin for WooCommerce on WordPress. This issue, which can be exploited by authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access and above, leads to the exposure of sensitive information. The vulnerability is triggered through the use of a shortcode, allowing attackers to access emails and hashed passwords of any user on the affected site. Versions of the plugin up to and including 2.9.4 are impacted. This vulnerability poses a significant risk to the security and privacy of WordPress sites using the Customer Email Verification plugin.
