Summary

CVE-2024-13521 is a new Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability affecting the MailUp Auto Subscription plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in all versions up to 1.1.0, arises due to insufficient nonce validation on the 'mas_options' function. As a result, unauthenticated attackers can successfully execute malicious actions, including updating settings and injecting malicious web scripts, by tricking a site administrator into performing a specific action like clicking a malicious link.
