Summary

CVE-2024-13464 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Library Bookshelves plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in all versions up to 5.9, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts. The vulnerability stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes within the plugin's 'bookshelf' shortcode. Consequently, any page containing an injected shortcode will execute the malicious script whenever a user accesses it.
