Summary

CVE-2024-13459 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the FuseDesk plugin for WordPress. In versions up to 6.6.1, user-supplied attributes in the 'fusedesk_newcase' shortcode are not properly sanitized or escaped, allowing authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject malicious code. This vulnerability can result in the execution of arbitrary web scripts whenever a user accesses an infected page. Successful exploitation can lead to various attacks, including data theft, session hijacking, or unauthorized access. Users of FuseDesk plugin are urged to update to the latest version as soon as possible to mitigate this risk.
