Summary
CVE-2024-13443 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Easypromos Plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in versions up to 1.3.8, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject malicious scripts into the plugin's Easypromos shortcode. The shortcoming lies in insufficient input sanitization and output escaping for user-supplied attributes, culminating in the execution of these scripts whenever a user accesses an injected page. This vulnerability poses a significant threat as it can lead to data theft and unauthorized access. Users are strongly advised to update the plugin to the latest version to mitigate this risk.
