Summary

CVE-2024-13396: The Frictionless plugin for WordPress, used in versions up to 0.0.23, contains a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability. This issue stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes within the plugin's 'frictionless_form' shortcodes. Authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, can exploit this flaw to inject arbitrary web scripts. These scripts execute whenever a user accesses an injected page, posing a significant risk to website security and user data privacy.
