Summary

CVE-2024-13388 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the TCBD Tooltip plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in versions 1.0 and below, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject malicious scripts into pages. The vulnerability arises due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping of user-supplied attributes in the 'tcbdtooltip_text' shortcode. Successful exploitation results in the execution of arbitrary web scripts whenever a user accesses an injected page.
