Summary
CVE-2024-13386 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the quote-posttype-plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in all versions up to 1.2.2, allows authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to inject malicious scripts into the Author field. As a result, these scripts will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The vulnerability stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping, making it essential to update the plugin to a secure version as soon as possible.
