Summary
CVE-2024-13376 is a vulnerability affecting the Industrial theme for WordPress. This issue allows authenticated attackers with subscriber-level access or higher to modify data without proper capability checks on the _ajax_get_total_content_import_items() function. By exploiting this flaw, attackers can update arbitrary options, including the default role for registration, to administrator. Consequently, they can gain administrative user access to the vulnerable site. This vulnerability impacts all WordPress sites using the Industrial theme up to version 1.7.8.
