Summary

CVE-2024-13315 is a vulnerability affecting the Shopwarden plugin for WordPress, which is used for automated monitoring and testing of WooCommerce sites. The issue lies in the plugin's save_setting() function, which lacks proper nonce validation. This flaw allows unauthenticated attackers to execute Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) attacks, enabling them to update arbitrary options and potentially gain privilege escalation. To exploit this vulnerability, an attacker needs to trick a site administrator into performing an action, such as clicking on a malicious link.
