Summary

CVE-2024-13156 is a DOM-Based Stored Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability affecting the HTML5 Video Player – mp4 Video Player Plugin and Block plugin for WordPress. Versions up to and including 2.5.35 are vulnerable to this issue. Attackers with Contributor-level access or higher can exploit this weakness by injecting malicious scripts into the 'heading' parameter. As a result, these scripts will be executed whenever a user accesses an injected page, posing a significant security risk. This vulnerability stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in the plugin.
