Summary

CVE-2024-13059 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting the anything-llm package, specifically versions prior to 1.3.1, from mintplex-labs. The flaw lies in the multer library's handling of non-ASCII filenames, leading to a path traversal issue. Attackers with manager or admin roles can exploit this vulnerability to carry out arbitrary file writes, potentially leading to remote code execution by manipulating filenames and introducing '../' sequences, which are not properly sanitized by multer.
