Summary
CVE-2024-13047 is a remote code execution vulnerability affecting Ashlar-Vellum Cobalt software. Malicious CO files can exploit this issue by causing type confusion during file parsing. This flaw results from insufficient data validation, allowing attackers to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current process. User interaction, such as visiting a malicious webpage or opening a malicious file, is required to exploit this vulnerability. This issue was identified as ZDI-CAN-24843 by ZDI.
