Summary

CVE-2024-12921 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the EthereumICO plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in all versions up to 2.4.6, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject malicious scripts. The vulnerability stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes within the plugin's ethereum-ico shortcode. Consequently, any page containing an injected shortcode will execute the attacker's scripts whenever a user accesses the page.
