Summary

CVE-2024-12444 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the WP Dispensary plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in versions up to 4.5.0, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts. The vulnerability arises from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes within the 'wpd_menu' shortcode. Successful exploitation enables the execution of malicious scripts whenever a user accesses an injected page.
