CVE-2024-12820 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the MK Google Directions plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in all versions up to 3.1, permits authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject malicious scripts. The vulnerability stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes within the plugin's 'MKGD' shortcode. When an injected page is accessed, the inserted scripts will execute, potentially leading to data theft, site defacement, or other malicious activities.
