Summary

CVE-2024-12814 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Loan Comparison plugin for WordPress. The issue lies in the plugin's 'loancomparison' shortcode, which fails to properly sanitize and escape user-supplied attributes. As a result, authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher can inject malicious scripts into pages. These scripts will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page, potentially leading to unintended actions or data exposure. Versions of the plugin up to and including 2.0 are impacted.
