Summary
CVE-2024-12745 is a SQL injection vulnerability affecting the Amazon Redshift Python Connector v2.1.4. An attacker can exploit this issue by manipulating input to the get_schemas, get_tables, or get_columns Metadata APIs, resulting in escalated privileges. The vulnerability can be mitigated by upgrading to the driver version 2.1.5 or reverting to version 2.1.3. Users are strongly advised to apply the necessary patches to prevent unauthorized access to their Amazon Redshift databases.
