Summary

CVE-2024-12624 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the Sina Extension for Elementor plugin used in WordPress websites. This issue, impacting versions up to 3.5.91, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject malicious scripts into the Sina Image Differ widget. When a user accesses a page with an injected script, the code is executed, potentially leading to unintended actions or data disclosure. The root cause is insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes.
