Summary
CVE-2024-12624 is a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Sina Extension for Elementor plugin for WordPress. Versions up to and including 3.5.91 are vulnerable. This issue arises due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes in the plugin's Sina Image Differ widget. Authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher can exploit this vulnerability by injecting arbitrary web scripts. These scripts will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page, posing a significant security risk.
