Summary
CVE-2024-12623 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the DICOM Support plugin for WordPress. This issue arises due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes in the plugin's 'dcm' shortcode. Consequently, authenticated attackers, including those with contributor-level access and above, can inject arbitrary web scripts. These scripts will execute whenever a user accesses an affected page, posing a significant security risk.
