Summary

CVE-2024-12593 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the WPForms + Drag and Drop Template Builder plugin for WordPress. The issue is located in the plugin's yeepdf_dotab shortcode, which fails to properly sanitize and escape user-supplied attributes. This weakness enables authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject malicious web scripts. When a user accesses a page with the injected script, the code executes, posing a significant security risk. Versions of the plugin up to, and including, 4.6.0 are vulnerable to this attack.
