Summary
CVE-2024-12592 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Sellsy plugin for WordPress. The issue lies in the plugin's 'testSellsy' shortcode, which fails to properly sanitize and escape user-supplied attributes. This vulnerability allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject malicious web scripts. Upon accessing an injected page, the scripts will execute, potentially leading to unintended functionality, unauthorized access, or other security threats. Versions of the plugin up to and including 2.3.3 are affected.
