Summary

CVE-2024-12525 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Easy MLS Listings Import plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in all versions up to 2.0.1, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts via the plugin's 'homeasap-featured-listings' shortcode. The insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes enable the execution of these scripts whenever an injected page is accessed. This poses a significant risk to websites running the affected plugin, as attackers can manipulate content and potentially steal user data or take control of the site.
