Summary

CVE-2024-12521 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Slotti Ajanvaraus plugin for WordPress. The flaw, present in all versions up to and including 1.3.1, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts. This vulnerability arises due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes within the 'slotti-embed-ga' shortcode. As a result, any page featuring an injected script will execute the malicious code whenever a user accesses it.
