Summary

CVE-2024-12516 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Coupon Plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in all versions up to 1.2.1, allows authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access or higher to inject malicious web scripts into the 'Coupon Code' parameter. Upon accessing an injected page, these scripts will be executed, potentially leading to unintended actions, data theft, or website defacement. The root cause of this vulnerability is insufficient input sanitization and output escaping by the plugin.
