Summary
CVE-2024-12512 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Ask Me Anything (Anonymously) plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in all versions up to 1.6, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject malicious scripts. The vulnerability stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes within the plugin's 'askmeanythingpeople' shortcode. Successful exploitation enables attackers to execute arbitrary web scripts, posing a significant risk to website visitors whenever they access an infected page.
