Summary
CVE-2024-12506 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the NACC WordPress Plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in all versions up to 4.1.0, allows authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access or higher, to inject malicious scripts into pages via the plugin's 'nacc' shortcode. The insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes enable the attacker to execute arbitrary web scripts whenever a user accesses an injected page. This vulnerability poses a significant risk and requires immediate patching to prevent potential security breaches.
