CVE-2024-12505

Summary

CVE-2024-12505 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability affecting the Trackserver plugin for WordPress. This issue stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes within the plugin's 'tsmap' shortcode. Consequently, authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above can inject arbitrary web scripts. Upon accessing an injected page, these scripts will execute, potentially leading to unintended actions or data theft. Versions of the Trackserver plugin up to and including 5.0.2 are vulnerable to this issue.
