Summary
CVE-2024-12494 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the BMLT Meeting Map plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in all versions up to 2.6.1, stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes within the plugin's 'bmlt_meeting_map' shortcode. Consequently, authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher can inject arbitrary web scripts into pages. These scripts will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page, posing a significant threat to website security and user privacy.
