Summary
CVE-2024-12465 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Property Hive Stamp Duty Calculator plugin for WordPress. This issue, impacting versions up to and including 1.0.22, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts. The vulnerability occurs due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes within the plugin's 'stamp_duty_calculator_scotland' shortcode. Consequently, when a user accesses an injected page, the malicious scripts are executed, potentially leading to unintended actions or data exposure.
