Summary
CVE-2024-12441 is a Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the BP Email Assign Templates plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in all versions up to and including 1.5, stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in the 'page' parameter. Consequently, unauthenticated attackers can inject arbitrary web scripts that execute if a user is tricked into taking a specific action, such as clicking a malicious link. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to data theft or unauthorized access to WordPress sites. Users are urged to update the plugin as soon as possible to mitigate this risk.
