CVE-2024-12439 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Marketplace Items plugin for WordPress. This issue, impacting all versions up to and including 1.5.5, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts. The vulnerability stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes within the plugin's 'marketplace' shortcode. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability enables attackers to execute their scripts whenever a user accesses an injected page.
