Summary
CVE-2024-12437 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Marketplace Items plugin for WordPress. The issue lies in the plugin's 'envato' shortcode, which fails to properly sanitize and escape user-supplied attributes. This flaw enables authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject malicious scripts into pages. These scripts will execute whenever a user accesses the injected pages. Versions of the plugin up to, and including, 1.5.5 are susceptible to this vulnerability.
