Summary
CVE-2024-12325 is a Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Waymark plugin for WordPress. Versions up to and including 1.4.1 are susceptible to this issue due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by injecting arbitrary web scripts via the 'content' parameter. Successful exploitation allows the attacker to execute malicious scripts in a user's browser, potentially leading to data theft, session hijacking, or other malicious activities. Unauthenticated attackers can exploit this vulnerability by tricking users into performing specific actions, such as clicking on a malicious link.
