Summary

CVE-2024-12261 is a Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the SmartEmailing.cz plugin for WordPress. Versions up to and including 2.2.0 are impacted by this issue. The vulnerability stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping of the 'se-lists-updated' parameter. Unauthenticated attackers can exploit this flaw to inject arbitrary web scripts, which are executed when a user performs a specific action, such as clicking on a malicious link.
