Summary

CVE-2024-12259 is a privilege escalation vulnerability affecting the RepairBuddy plugin for WordPress. The issue, present in all versions up to 3.8120, allows authenticated attackers, even those with subscriber-level access, to manipulate email addresses via the wc_update_user_data AJAX action. By exploiting this vulnerability, attackers can reset passwords and gain administrator access to affected user accounts.
